With over 20 years of combined experience, all of our trips are thoughtfully created with immersive, unique encounters and private guides that will allow you to delve deeper into the culture that you visit. We are passionate advocates of supporting small initiatives in India, therefore we routinely recommend independently run accommodation, along with experiences that are operated by small businesses and cooperatives. We also believe in offering sustainable and meaningful travel that is within reach for the many, not just the lucky few.

Siân Warren

Siân is the Founding Director of South Asia Uncovered and has extensive experience with travel across India, having spent nearly 15 years exploring all corners of the subcontinent. From humble beginnings as a backpacker and volunteer, to working with some of the best-known luxury UK travel operators including Audley Travel and Greaves India.

She has a deep emotional connection to India and has spent time living with local families away from the tourist trail as well as attending night school in London to learn Hindi. Siân started her career in India travel to pursue her dream of sharing her love of India with others, with this culminating in her creating her own company. Now Siân spends her time curating unique tailormade India itineraries that are close to her heart, focusing on storytelling, communities and human connection.

She has used her broad knowledge of the country to help create hundreds of wonderful trips for individuals, couples, families, journalists and a few famous faces. She has first-hand, up-to-date knowledge of the best hotels and homestay's across India and has a particular expertise in crafting unique and niche experiences for guests.

Siân's approach to traveling in India has consistently revolved around discovering and immersing oneself in the authentic essence of the country, going beyond the beaten paths to uncover genuine experiences.

Tuhina Sharma

Tuhina is a travel enthusiast and has traveled extensively throughout India and is closely familiar with the cultural, religious and off-beat patterns of the diverse country that she calls home. She is a seasoned trip leader, escorting individuals and small private groups with hands on knowledge of the cultural and historical beats of each location.

Her years of working in the industry has also allowed her to build key relationships with some of the best hoteliers and guides across the country to ensure guests have the best possible experience. When not escorting guests in person, Tuhina works hard behind the scenes of our tailormade trips to north India, ensuring that everything works smoothly and is always on hand to help guests on the ground.
